What is YMCP

The Youth Ministry Certification Program (YMCP) offers an opportunity for people interested to learn more about adolescents and their ministries.  The program aims at providing the base knowledge and the practical experience needed in working with teenagers.  Although high school services in the Diocese of Mississauga, Vancouver and Western Canada may require their servants to hold this certification in the future, yet completion of the program does not guarantee an automatic placement in youth service.  Also, YMCP is not a replacement to the Prepare To Serve 2-year program and the latter is mandatory if an individual desires to become a servant within the church.

Our Vision

¨Our vision is to provide churches with mature, educated and Biblical servants who can –through God’s grace and thorough training- offer a far better ministry to adolescents.

What is the purpose of YMCP?

The Youth Ministry Certification Program (YMCP) provide servants with a distinct opportunity to acquire in-depth learning and training in adolescents’ ministries by  providing the foundational knowledge and the practical experience needed –through case studies and in-service modules- to better serve youth (ages ~10 to 24)
